Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 14 oz Firm Tofu Pressed and cubed
  • 3 cups Cooked Medium-Grain Rice Preferably day-old and chilled
  • 1/2 cup Steamed Green Peas
  • 1/2 cup Diced Orange Carrots Small dice
  • 1/2 cup Sweet Corn Kernels
  • 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tsp Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Brown Sugar

Equipment

  • 1 Large Non-Stick Skillet or Wok Essential for high-heat stir-frying.
  • 1 Tofu Press or Heavy Skillet To remove moisture from the tofu.

Method

Cooking Process
  1. Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove moisture, then cut into cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a wok and sear tofu cubes until all sides have distinct golden, crispy edges.
  3. Stir-fry carrots, peas, and corn with garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add chilled rice and savory soy-based glaze. Toss on high heat until the rice is a light golden-brown.
  5. Fold tofu back in and top with thin-sliced green onions and black sesame seeds.

Notes

Use day-old rice for the best non-mushy texture.
Ensure the pan is screaming hot before adding the rice to achieve a savory sear.
