Ingredients

Frosting Ingredients
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter Softened to room temperature (227g)
  • 14 oz Sweetened Condensed Milk Room temperature (397g)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Optional but recommended
  • 1 pinch Fine Sea Salt To balance sweetness

Equipment

  • 1 Stand mixer or hand mixer Equipped with a whisk attachment.
  • 1 Clear Glass Mixing Bowl Large enough for aeration.
  • 1 Silver Metal Spatula For smoothing and testing peaks.

Method

Preparation
  1. Place the softened unsalted butter in a glass bowl and beat on high speed for 5-7 minutes until pale cream-colored and doubled in volume.
  2. Lower the mixer speed and gradually add the sweetened condensed milk one tablespoon at a time, ensuring it is fully incorporated before adding more.
  3. Add vanilla and salt, then whip on high for 2 more minutes until the frosting is glossy, thick, and holds soft peaks on a spatula.

Notes

Ensure both butter and condensed milk are at the same room temperature to prevent curdling.
If the frosting breaks, slightly warm a small portion and whip it back in.
