  • 0.5 oz (15ml) Triple Sec Or Cointreau
  • 0.5 oz (15ml) Simple Syrup Adjust to taste
  • 5 Fresh Red Raspberries For muddling
Rim and Garnish
  • 2 tbsp White Granulated Sugar For the rim
  • 1 slice Lemon Thin circular slice
  • 2 Fresh Red Raspberries Plump and whole

Equipment

  • 1 Cocktail shaker
  • 1 Fine Mesh Strainer Essential for a translucent finish
  • 1 Martini Glass Chilled
  • 1 Muddler

Method

Prepare the Glass
  1. Rub a lemon wedge around the rim of a chilled martini glass. Dip the edge into a plate of granulated sugar to create a thick white rim.
Mix the Cocktail
  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the 5 raspberries with simple syrup until fully broken down and bright red.
  2. Add vodka, lemon juice, and triple sec. Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 20 seconds until the shaker is frosted.
  3. Double strain through a Hawthorne strainer and a fine-mesh sieve into the prepared martini glass to ensure a translucent pink-red liquid.
Garnish
  1. Gently float a thin lemon slice and two fresh raspberries on the surface of the drink.

Notes

Always use fresh lemon juice for the best acidity.
Double straining is key to the translucent appearance.
