Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 pack (340g) Hawaiian Sweet Rolls 12-count pack
  • 8 oz (225g) Sharp Yellow Cheddar Cheese Freshly shredded
  • 8 oz (225g) Monterey Jack Cheese Freshly shredded
  • 1/2 cup (115g) Salted Butter Melted
  • 1 tbsp (3g) Dried Parsley Flakes
  • 2 cloves (10g) Garlic Minced

Equipment

  • 1 Serrated Knife For horizontal slicing of the rolls.
  • 1 9x13 Baking Dish
  • 1 Pastry Brush For the garlic butter wash.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Use a serrated knife to slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
  2. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a baking dish. Layer evenly with shredded yellow cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese.
Baking
  1. Whisk melted butter, minced garlic, and dried parsley. Place the top of the rolls over the cheese and brush generously with the butter mixture.
  2. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes until tops are golden brown and cheese is bubbling.

Notes

Use block cheese for a better melt.
Don't skip the foil or the rolls will burn before the cheese melts.
