Big Mac Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Base for the sauce
  • 2 tbsp French Dressing Orange variety
  • 1 tbsp Sweet Pickle Relish
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 80/20 fat content
  • 3 units Sesame Seed Buns Toasted
  • 2 slices American Cheese Yellow, easily meltable
  • 1 cup Iceberg Lettuce Finely shredded
  • 2 tbsp White Onion Finely minced
  • 4 slices Crinkle-Cut Pickles

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet or Griddle For a perfect sear on the patties.
  • 1 Small mixing bowl For the secret sauce.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Whisk mayonnaise, French dressing, relish, vinegar, and spices in a bowl. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Finely shred the iceberg lettuce and mince the white onions. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. Place bun faces on a hot griddle until golden brown and crisp.
  2. Form thin 2oz patties. Sear in a hot skillet for 2 minutes, flip, and cook for 1 minute more.
Assembly
  1. Bottom bun > Sauce > Onions > Lettuce > Cheese > Patty > Middle Bun > Sauce > Onions > Lettuce > Pickles > Patty > Top Bun.

Notes

Toast the middle bun on both sides for extra stability.
Use 80/20 ground beef for the most authentic flavor.
