  • 17.3 oz Frozen Puff Pastry 2 sheets, thawed but cold
  • 12 oz Savory Deli Ham Thinly sliced pink ham
  • 8 oz Swiss Cheese Sliced or shredded
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash
  • 1 tbsp Water Mixed with egg
  • 1 tsp Black Poppy Seeds For garnish
  • 1 tsp Dried Parsley Flakes For garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut each sheet of puff pastry into 9 equal squares (18 squares total).
Assembly
  1. Stack three squares of pastry per serving, alternating with folds of ham and layers of Swiss cheese.
  2. Whisk egg and water; brush the tops and sides of the stacks until glossy.
  3. Sprinkle black poppy seeds and dried parsley over the top layer.
Baking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the pastry is golden-brown and cheese is bubbly and oozing.

Notes

Keep the pastry dough cold until the moment of assembly for maximum height.
Fold the ham like an accordion for a more professional visual look.
