  • 1 lb Beef Kielbasa Sliced into 1/2 inch coins
  • 4 Hoagie Buns Split and buttered
  • 2 large Sweet Onions Vidalia or Walla Walla
  • 2 large Bell Peppers 1 Red, 1 Green, sliced into strips
  • 1/4 cup Honey Mustard For drizzling

  • 1 Cast-Iron Skillet For onions

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Sauté sliced onions in oil over medium-low heat until translucent and golden-brown, about 20-25 minutes.
  2. Grill pepper strips until skins are blistered and charred. Grill kielbasa slices until edges are dark and crispy.
  3. Toast buttered buns until grill marks appear. Layer sausage, onions, and peppers, then drizzle with honey mustard.

Notes

Slice the kielbasa on a bias for more surface area char.
Keep onions on low heat to prevent burning while caramelizing.
