Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs Chicken Breast Sliced into thin strips (680g)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil Extra virgin (30ml)
  • 1 tbsp Dried Oregano Visible herb seasoning
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme 5g
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Full-fat, thick (245g)
  • 0.5 cup Cucumber Grated and squeezed dry (120g)
  • 4 pieces Pita Bread Soft and fluffy
  • 0.5 cup Feta Cheese Crumbled white feta (75g)

Equipment

  • 1 Cast Iron Skillet or Grill Used for searing chicken and toasting pita.
  • 2 Mixing bowls One for marinade, one for tzatziki.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toss chicken strips with olive oil, lemon, and herbs. Let marinate for 20-30 minutes.
  2. Combine yogurt, squeezed cucumber, garlic, and dill. Mix until you see fine green herb specks.
Cooking & Assembly
  1. Cook chicken in a hot skillet for 3-5 minutes until golden brown with visible herb seasoning.
  2. Toast pita, spread tzatziki, and layer with chicken, red onions, tomatoes, and feta crumbles.

Notes

Tip: Squeeze the cucumber thoroughly to prevent a watery sauce.
Storage: Keep chicken and sauce separate for up to 3 days.
