Ingredients

Recipe Ingredients
  • 1 lb Ziti Pasta 450g
  • 1 lb Ground Beef 450g, lean
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream 480ml
  • 4 tbsp Butter 56g
  • 1 cup Parmesan Cheese 90g, freshly grated
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese 225g, shredded
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley finely chopped

Equipment

  • 1 White rectangular ceramic casserole dish
  • 1 Large Skillet

Method

Preparation
  1. Boil the ziti in salted water for 2 minutes less than the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until it forms small, well-seasoned crumbles. Drain fat.
  3. Melt butter and sauté garlic. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Whisk in Parmesan until thick and opaque.
  4. Toss pasta, beef, and sauce together. Pour into a white ceramic casserole dish and top with mozzarella.
  5. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes. Broil for 2-3 minutes until circular toasted golden-brown spots appear. Garnish with parsley.

Notes

Use freshly shredded mozzarella for the best melt and golden spots.
Ensure the beef is drained well to keep the Alfredo sauce bright white.
