Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 sheet Puff Pastry approx 250g, thawed but cold
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted Butter 30ml, melted
  • 1/4 cup Granulated White Sugar 50g
  • 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon 15ml, dark brown
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt

Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer
  • 1 Pizza Cutter Or a sharp knife
  • 1 Pastry Brush

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until a uniform crystalline mixture forms.
  2. Unroll the cold puff pastry sheet and brush the entire surface with melted butter.
Shaping
  1. Generously sprinkle the sugar mixture over the dough. Cut into 1-inch (2.5cm) strips using a pizza cutter.
  2. Twist each strip several times to create distinct spiral turns, then place them in the air fryer basket.
Cooking
  1. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes until golden-brown with charred pastry edges and caramelized sugar patches.

Notes

Ensure the pastry stays cold before air frying for maximum lift.
Don't overcrowd the basket to ensure even air circulation.
